SUMMIT (CBS) -- A frantic search is on for a missing Summit man, who has last seen at a Halloween party in Chicago.

Nobody has seen 30-year-old Emmanuel Dominguez since Nov. 1, when he attended that party on the West Side.

Family members say Dominguez started a new job as a bartender at the Dana Hotel only a few months ago. They insist he had no history of long absences and no reason to simply disappear.

The Summit home where Dominguez lived is the headquarters now for his large family's anguish about his disappearance.

"We want to find him," said sister Lela Veraga. "We want to find him. Even if it's dead or alive, we want to find him because we want answers. This family needs closure."

Dominguez was last seen in the area near Lake Street and Damen Avenue in Chicago, where he had gone for a Halloween party.

Days later, family members discovered his car, a 2002 Acura, in the same area.

His former girlfriend, Angelique, was the last person to see him alive.

"We reported him missing that same night when we found out he wasn't with Angelique, and his phone was shut off," said brother Jose Dominguez.

Family members have mounted missing person flyers around that warehouse district where he was last seen.

They're trying to maintain hope he hasn't been harmed. However, as the days drag on, optimism begins to wear thin.

"Somebody out there knows something," Veraga said.

"We just want them to help the family out. We need as much help as possible. Any little detail. We just want help."

Family members say Dominguez left the part with his ex-girlfriend.

They say she's been questioned by Summit detectives, but Chicago police are taking the lead role in the investigation.
