Teen, Adult Man Charged In Murder Of UPS Worker

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man have been charged in the murder of a veteran UPS worker, who was shot on his way to work in an apparent robbery.

Bond for Rayshon Williams, 16, was set at $1 million. Prosecutors say another unnamed co-defendant fired the fatal shots. Williams has no known adult criminal record.

He his charged with the murder of 53-year-old Michael Sullivan.

Sullivan was shot in the head as he walked from the Green Line Pulaski stop on Lake Street.

Video obtained by CBS 2 shows a car pulling up next to him, and moments later he was shot.

Officers found him lying on the sidewalk on Lake Street on Tuesday night.

The father of two worked the overnight shift at a Garfield Park UPS facility and was on his way to work when he was killed.

He had worked for UPS for more than 30 years.

Police say the teen has been charged with murder, attempted robbery and stealing a vehicle.

Police Friday evening charged a second person in the fatal shooting: Derrick Williams, 20, of the 1600 block of South Spaulding Avenue.

He was charged with first-degree murder, attempted robbery and misdemeanor criminal trespass to a vehicle. Williams was expected in court Saturday.
