Woman Found Dead On Northwest Side After Domestic Incident
(STMW) -- A woman was found dead Thursday morning after an apparent domestic incident in the Northwest Side Portage Park neighborhood.
Maria Gonzalez, 39, was found by police in the street near her home in the 4800 block of North Moody Avenue about 5 a.m., authorities said.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:22 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
The 39-year-old woman had suffered "visible trauma" and police believe she may have been beaten to death in a domestic incident.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
