Man Fatally Shot On West Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was fatally shot Saturday in the Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The shooting occurred at 12:37 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Arthington Street, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.
The 27-year-old man was shot three times in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, O'Brien said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the death but could not immediately provide identification of the victim pending family notification.
No one is in custody, and Area North detectives are investigating.
