Woman Killed In Lincoln Park Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman died Saturday morning after a crash in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side.

Tamara Marslova, 64, was driving in the 1600 block of West Fullerton Avenue about 9 a.m. when her vehicle was hit by an oncoming truck, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Marslova, of the 3200 block of North Harlem Avenue, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 9:41 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.

The police Major Accident Investigation Unit determined that Marslova had run a red light and was hit by an oncoming truck that had a green light, police said. No citations were issued in the crash.
