Downers Grove Company Participating In Letters To Santa Program

(CBS) -- Employees at MicroTek are scaling back their annual holiday party this year and instead are participating in the "Letters to Santa" program sponsored by the post office.

CEO Don Slivnesky says each employee will get one letter and time to buy the gifts.

"Each employee will get a half a day off to buy the gifts and the company will provide the gift cards."

Slivnesky says at their holiday party, they will wrap and ship their gifts to 30 needy families. He hopes other companies will do the same. Slivnesky says his family has participated in the program for several years. This year, he says his employees were thrilled to be involved too.
