Police: 1 Dead, 1 Seriously Wounded In Edgewater Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) — One man is dead and another seriously wounded following a shooting Monday morning in the Edgewater neighborhood on the North Side, police said.
The shooting occurred at 10:35 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Glenlake Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
A 20-year-old man was dead at the scene, Estrada said. A 24-year-old man was taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the body.
Loyola University issued a campus alert about the shooting, which noted that no one involved was affiliated with the school.
No one was in custody as of early Monday afternoon as Area North detectives investigate.
