Disney's Boyhood Home In Chicago Could Become Museum
(CBS) – The Northwest Side home where film legend Walt Disney was born could soon become an historical site.
The residence in the 2100 block of North Tripp, in the Hermosa neighborhood, was home to the Disney family when Walt was born back in 1901.
Now, it's been sold to a California couple that wants to preserve it and turn it into a museum and community resource.
They're hoping to work with Chicago officials to get landmark status for the house.
