1 Killed, 1 Wounded In South Shore Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man was killed and another seriously wounded in a shooting in the South Shore neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened about 12:20 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Paxton Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.
Deonte Womack, 21, who lived less than two blocks away from where he was shot, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The other man, 22, was also taken to Northwestern in serious condition, police said.Area Central detectives are investigating.
