(CBS) Which team boasts the best wide receiving tandem in the NFL?
The Chicago Bears, of course. Just ask Brandon Marshall.
Tuesday on the NFL Network’s “NFL AM,” Marshall was asked if there is a better wide receiving tandem in the league than he and Alshon Jeffery:
“I say this humbly: I don’t think so,” the Pro Bowl wide out said. “We work so hard and we have great coaches around us. Coach Groh does an amazing job coming over from Alabama, from a college team to the pro league and really making a tremendous transition. He’s really pushing us every single day, he’s putting us in uncomfortable situations to make us better.
“You would think as a nine-year pro that ‘you got it’ – I don’t, and I love that about coach that he can bring out more. Honestly I really believe with the year under Groh that I’m going to have a better year next year – my best year ever.”
So who is the absolute best wide receiver in the NFL?
“I say this humbly, if I had to build an organization, the first receiver I’m going to pick is myself,” Marshall said. “I have that much confidence in myself.”
