Blue Line Train Stopped For Track Fire Near O'Hare

(CBS) – A Blue Line train traveling near O'Hare International Airport was stopped Friday night when a fire erupted on the tracks.

No one was injured, but 80 passengers had to be transported by shuttle buses from the stalled train, which had been heading toward Chicago around 9 p.m.

Service between the Rosemont and O'Hare stops was temporarily suspended.

Firefighters and ambulances swarmed the scene, but the fire was extinguished quickly. Part of the track – and not the train – caught fire, officials said.
