(CBS) It looks like the banking career of former Illinois football coach Ron Zook has come to an end, at least for a while.
Zook has landed an assistant coaching job with the Green Bay Packers, according to multiple reports and tweets, though his exact position isn’t yet known.

To reiterate, Ron Zook is being hired, but not necessarily as OLBs coach. Appears to be for a different spot. Stay tuned. #Packers—

After Zook coached for three seasons at Florida, he was at the helm for seven years at Illinois, leading the Fighting Illini to the Rose Bowl after the 2007 season. Since being fired at Illinois following the 2011 season, he had been working at a business development officer at a bank in Florida.
