Man Found Dead In Burning Home In South Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Firefighters responding to a fire in the South Chicago neighborhood on Friday found a man dead inside the home.

The Fire Department responded around 6:15 a.m. to a fire at a home in the 8300 block of South Baker Avenue. When firefighters arrived, an adult male was found dead inside.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, the victim's body had been charred in the fire.

The cause of the fire had not been determined as of Friday morning.
