(CBS) Free agent cornerback Charles Tillman has left his visit in Tampa Bay without signing a contract, according to reports, leaving open the possibility he could still return to the Bears if the finances work out on both sides.
Charles Tillman left Tampa Bay without signing a contract, which has to at least encourage the Bears. Surely other teams will take a look.—

With new coach Lovie Smith, the Bucs were long considered to be a favorite to land Tillman, who played for Smith in Chicago. But the Bucs signed cornerback Alterraun Verner to a four-year deal on Tuesday, filling a need and likely making them less dependent on Tillman.
The situation remains fluid, but it appears Tillman will continue looking elsewhere for a job.
Initial word is the Falcons won't have to face CB Charles Tillman with the Bucs, but we'll see how it unfolds.—
