Man Facing Sex Abuse Charges Tied To Now-Closed Lansing Daycare

MARKHAM, Ill. (STMW) -- A Grant Park man was charged Monday with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, in connection with incidents that happened in the early '90s at a south suburban daycare center.

David Lukowski, 63, is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, Lansing police said in a release.

At a bond hearing Tuesday, Judge Carl Boyd set bonds at $75,000 for a case from the 1990s, and at $75,000 for another case from 2002 for a total of $150,000, the Cook County State's Attorney's office said.

The charges from the early 90's stem from incidents that happened at an unlicensed, in-home daycare center in the 17100 block of Oakwood Avenue in Lansing, the release said.

Details about the 2002 case were not immediately available Wednesday night.

Lukowski no longer lives at that residence, and the day care is no longer active, the release said.

Lansing police are asking anyone with information to contact them at (708) 895-7150.

He will next appear in court April 7, the state's attorney's office said.
