White Sox Place Nate Jones On 15-Day DL
(CBS) The White Sox have placed right-handed reliever Nate Jones on the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Friday.
Jones has a muscle strain in his left hip. Chicago recalled 25-year-old Jake Petricka from Class-AAA Charlotte. He pitched in 16 games for the White Sox last season, his first in the big leagues, going 1-1 with a 3.26 ERA.
Jones had struggled in both of his appearances this season, failing to record an out but allowing four earned runs. He had a 4.15 ERA in 70 appearances for Chicago last season.
