Police Sergeant Shot At In Little Village

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Someone shot at a Chicago Police sergeant early Saturday in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side.

The sergeant was sitting in an unmarked squad car parked near the intersection of West 26th Street and South St. Louis Avenue about 1:50 a.m. when someone fired a shot into the car through the rear window, according to police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

The sergeant was not injured, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
