(CBS) – An 18-year-old Chicago woman placed her newborn son inside a plastic bag and left the child outside, where he was later found dead, Chicago police said.
Ana Rosa Mora, 18, of the 2700 block of North Hamlin Avenue, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree murder.
The dead child was discovered along a gangway on North Hamlin last weekend. Police say Mora admitted she placed the baby in the plastic bag and left him there.
Mora was scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday.
