Teen Killed In Washington Heights Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A teen boy died Sunday, a day after he was shot in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy, 17, was shot at 7:25 p.m. Saturday in the 9300 block of South Ada Street, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the jaw and pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The boy has been identified as Dashawn Johnson, who lived on the same block he was shot, according to the medical examiner's office.
