Bulls Assistant Griffin To Interview For Cavs Job

CLEVELAND (AP) — A person with knowledge of the meeting says the Cavaliers will interview Chicago Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin for their coaching job.

The person spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday because of the private nature of the situation. It's not known when the interview will take place.

Griffin is a former NBA player and is believed to be the first candidate to formally interview with the Cavs. Earlier this month, Cleveland fired Mike Brown for the second time.

The Cavs are not commenting during the search for their third coach in three years.

Last week, a person familiar with the Cavaliers' plans told the AP the club intends to interview Los Angeles Clippers assistant Alvin Gentry. He previously worked in Phoenix with new Cleveland general manager David Griffin.

Griffin has been linked to the Utah Jazz's opening as well.
