Study: Chicago Popular Spot For Extramarital Sex

CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's the "summer of sin" in the city

All around us, married couples are having sex, but just not with each other.

A website called seekingarrangement.com found that Chicago is one of the most popular cities in the world to have an affair.

The website surveyed more than 73,000 men and women who are having affairs and determined that Chicago is the fifth most popular city for extramarital sex.

Paris ranks No. 1 as a destination for affairs, followed by Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Palm Springs, Calif., and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Seeking Arrangements touts itself as the No. 1 site for "generous sugar daddies" and "attractive sugar babies."

"Adulterers capitalize on the season by squeezing in illicit love affairs amidst packed social calendars and business trips," Seeking Arrangement spokeswoman Angela Jacob Bermudo said in a statement.

"Keeping an illicit rendezvous under wraps is not easy feat.

"In order to avoid getting caught, 64 percent of cheaters admit to traveling separate from their lover to their cheating destination," Bermudo said.
