Palestinian Supporters Protest Israel's Attack On Gaza
CHICAGO (CBS) --Palestinian supporters in Chicago gathered Sunday afternoon to demand an end to the Israeli air strikes and ground war in Gaza.
They say Israel is indiscriminately killing Palestinians.
Hatem Abudayyeh with the Chicago Coalition for Justice told Newsradio that, "People across the world are coming out in condemnation of Israel's crimes and in condemnation of U.S. support for those crimes."
Israel's Deputy Consul to the Midwest says they are defending their citizens against Hamas attacks.
"They're launching rockets on our civilians," said Alex Goldman-Shayman.
He says Hamas often puts the Palestinian people in harm's way.
