Friends who called 911 told police that the man, identified by the medical examiner as Eric Zyzanski, had pulled out a shotgun and was showing it off to them. They became alarmed and urged him to put the gun away. Instead, he pulled out two-to-three-rounds, told his friends the gun was empty, put it to his cheek and pulled the trigger.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
