CHICAGO (STMW) -- A taxi driver was wounded during an armed robbery early Thursday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, was flagged down by a man in his 20s in the 5500 block of South Peoria Street about 12:05 a.m., police said. When the driver stopped, the man reached into the taxi, grabbed the driver's cell phone and stabbed him in the arm, police said.
