Ex-Metropolitan Water Commissioner Patricia Horton Charged With Assaulting Man At Daley Center
(CBS) -- A former Metropolitan Water Reclamation District commissioner was arrested Monday afternoon at the Daley Center and accused of assault.
Former Water Reclamation District Commissioner Patricia Horton, 58, was arrested on the fourth floor of the Daley Center.
Chicago Police say she threatened a 50-year-old man after a court proceeding involving a landlord-tenant case.
Police say Horton was the tenant in a case involving property in the 3700 block of South Calumet.
An officer, reading from the police report, says Horton physically threatened the man - and Cook County Sheriff's deputies detained Horton until police arrived.

Horton is charged with one count of simple assault - a misdemeanor.
She is free on a signature bond and has a court appearance on November 3.
Horton had been commissioner on the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District board and then ran for Chicago City Clerk in 2011 and lost.
She ran again for a commission board seat in 2012 - and lost.
