Man Shot In Head In South Shore
(STMW) -- A man was shot in the head Sunday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.
About 1:10 p.m., the 23-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the 2200 block of East 73rd Street when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, striking the man in the head, police said.
The man was self-transported to Jackson Park Hospital and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
Police added the man is a documented gang member.
