CHICAGO (CBS) -- Repairs will soon be made to the Morton Salt warehouse just off the Kennedy Expressway at Division Street, that spilled salt all over a handful of cars New Year's Day when portions of a wall collapsed.

McGrath Acura General Sales Manager Noble Jones says Morton has been a good neighbor. He says within two weeks of the spill, it was cleaned up, and he says that a tarp and temporary barriers were put into place. Morton promised replacement cars, and Jones says by the end of January, everyone had them at a cost of more than $200,000.

A tarp covers the collapsed wall for now. Engineers have inspected the building and drawn up plans and Jones says he has been promised that repair work will be done by mid-April.
