CBSSports.com Free Agency Grades: Bears Tabbed With B-

(CBS) As opposed to 2014, the Bears have taken a more measured approach in NFL free agency this year. They've made just one big-name signing in edge rusher Pernell McPhee and a couple notable moves in adding receiver Eddie Royal and safety Antrel Rolle. We had an inkling this would be the approach after new general manager Ryan Pace preached the importance of building through the draft.

There are certainly a few more signings to be made, but it appears the big moves are over with, for the Bears and elsewhere in the NFL.

And with that, of course, must come grades. So how did the Bears do in free agency? CBSSports.com shared its take on every NFL team, and here's the Chicago breakdown:

The move to get McPhee was a good one, since he fits as a pass rusher as they move to the 3-4. Antrel Rolle is 32, but he's clearly an upgrade at safety. Trading Brandon Marshall is OK in my book, and signing Eddie Royal will help ease the loss.

Grade: B-

It's worth noting that CBSSports.com only handed out one "A" -- to the rival Packers. Here's the breakdown on Green Bay.

The Packers did what they always do, try to sign their own and do little in the open market. They gave receiver Randall Cobb and tackle Bryan Bulaga big contracts to stay put. With Cobb 24 and Bulaga 25, it makes sense. Those were the must-haves for free agency, so mission accomplished. It's why general manager Ted Thompson is one of the best.

Grade: A

Elsewhere in the NFC North, Detroit graded out with a C- after Ndamukong Suh left for Miami and Minnesota was tabbed with a C- as well.
