Blackhawks Sign F Kyle Baun

(CBS) The Blackhawks have signed free agent forward Kyle Baun, a 22-year-old college star from Colgate, to a two-year contract, they announced Thursday.

In turning pro, Baun will forgo his senior year at Colgate. Baun recorded 39 goals and 40 assists in his three-year run at Colgate, which spanned 113 games.

Baun's expected to report to the Blackhawks this season.

The Red Wings, Flames, Jets and Oilers were interested in Baun as well, according to reports.
