Man Fatally Shot On South Side
(STMW) -- A 24-year-old man was fatally shot Friday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
He was standing on a sidewalk about 5:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of East 75th Street when a gunman in a gray vehicle shot at him, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.
He was shot in the neck and chest and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
His name was withheld Friday night.
