Radio Host Calls Emanuel A 'Putz' For Poking Fun Tampa Bay Lightning Fan Policy

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Rahm Emanuel is a "putz" and "a pinhead."
Well, that wasn't very nice.
This is what Tom Jones, a guy with a sports radio talk show in Tampa, has concluded about the mayor of Chicago.
"That guy's a putz," Jones said on Wednesday morning. "Can I say that? Am I allowed to say he's a putz?"
Flexing his political chops, Jones continues, without providing any support for the assertion:
"He was a putz when he was chief of staff for Obama. And now he's a putz now that he's running one of the most violent cities in America."
Jones is a hockey writer, covered the beat for 15 years, and goes on to say how frightening it was to leave the West Side after a Blackhawks game. He would stay at the Drake Hotel and could never get a taxi back to the hotel after the game. According to Jones, he would sit in the lobby of the stadium with armed security, while he waited for the Drake to send a cab from their taxi stand to pick him up -- running the meter for the round trip.
All of that is told without a hint of irony. Perhaps he hasn't been back to that part of the West Side in the past few years.
Anyway, Jones argues that Emanuel has more important things to worry about, which is true.
"There's gotta be! Somebody's shooting somebody in Chicago as we speak," Jones said. "Fix your police force, fix your crime and make sure your city is safe and don't worry about who's going to the Lightning games."
"Enough already!" Jones pleads.
Yes.
