WATCH: Woman Breaks Into Liquor Store Office, Steals Cash -- Smiles

(CBS) -- How did money just vanish from a south suburban liquor store? Management wanted to find out, so they checked out their surveillance video.

What they found was chilling, CBS 2's Mike Parker reports.

A woman came in to Santori's Liquors in Lansing along with six other people who themselves are believed to have played a role in the theft.

It all began when the woman suspect picked the lock of the office. According to surveillance video, she began to look for loot and searched a safe or filing cabinet in the corner.

At one point, a female employee walked in, but the woman suspect hid behind a door before the employee left. The suspect then grabbed more cash, stuffing it beneath her shirt.

Then she grinned at the camera before walking back into the store.

Police say the six others who entered the store with the woman kept store staff distracted.
