In Naperville, Blackhawks Barber Chair Off Limits

(CBS) -- If you go to a certain barbershop in Naperville, at least through Wednesday, you will not be allowed to sit in a certain chair when you get your cut.

"It's awesome," says Marine Staff Sgt. Michael Bubb, who was getting his close cut at Lee's Barber Shop in Naperville, in a seat next to a vintage black and red barber's chair that's decorated with a Blackhawks look.

Barbershop owner Mike Densford confesses that the chair wasn't going to be a "Blackhawks chair" when he was first having it decorated in 2013.

He had planned to make it a "Bears chair," but "seeing that the Blackhawks were really the only playoff team in town, they won by default."

No one is allowed to sit on the Blackhawks barber chair during the playoffs.

One youngster sneaked on a couple of weeks ago. So now, Densford has red plastic "danger" tape across the seat to prevent that from happening again.

Current Hawks autographs on the chair are from Corey Crawford and Andrew Shaw.

Jack Byrne, 11, was looking for a new barber because his barber recently moved.

He chose Lee's Barber Shop just because of the Blackhawks chair.

"I've never seen anything like it before," he said.
