Blackhawks To Open Training Camp On Sept. 18 At Notre Dame

(CBS) The hockey world moves fast.

Just a couple weeks after winning the Stanley Cup, the Blackhawks announced they'll open training camp on Sept. 18 at Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., for the third consecutive year. The team will hold practices at the Compton Family Ice Arena on Sept. 18-20 before returning to Chicago for its annual Training camp Festival on Sept. 21.

A complete training camp schedule and ticket information for the practices at Notre Dame will be released at a later date.

The Training Camp Festival will feature a Blackhawks practice and scrimmage, with the first 10,000 fans entering the United Center receiving a Jonathan Toews bobblehead as well.

Those tickets will go on sale, July 17 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets for $5 on chicagoblackhawks.com, by visiting any Ticketmaster location or by calling (800) 745-3000.
