Gun-Shaped iPhone Case A 'Terrible Idea,' Head Of Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Says
(CBS) -- An iPhone case that looks like a gun is getting a thumbs-down from the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, reports WBBM's Steve Miller.
If you haven't seen one, here's a description of the gun-shaped phone case from Ed Wojcicki,executive director of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

"If your phone is in your back pocket, for example, and you have the case on, it looks like that curved handle on a gun is sticking out of the pocket. But it's actually part of the case on the phone."
Having said that - Wojcicki says it's a bad idea.
"Terrible idea."

Wojcicki says, "We would certainly never want to make a split (second) decision that a gun actually turns out to be a cell phone. But sometimes you just don't know."
