Puppy Stolen At Knifepoint On Orange Line

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are searching for two men who stole an 8-month-old puppy at knifepoint early Wednesday on a CTA Orange Line train.

About 12:05 a.m., officers responded to a call of theft on the train in the 3500 block of South Leavitt.

One of the men threatened the victim with a knife, and the other took the victim's dog carrier from the seat, police said.

An 8-month-old black and white puppy was in the dog carrier, police said.

The suspects were last seen running southwest on Archer, police said. The victim chased after them, but they got away.

It was not immediately known whether the theft was caught on surveillance.
