Unruly Passenger Has 'Bridesmaids' Moment, O'Hare-Bound Plane Lands In Indianapolis

(CBS) -- An airliner bound for O'Hare International Airport from Miami was diverted to Indianapolis briefly Monday for the ejection of an unruly passenger.

The trouble occurred on American Airlines Flight 1284 when a female passenger struck another flier and then a member of the flight crew, Indianapolis International Airport reports.

As she was being removed, the unruly passenger shouted, "Call my mom!"

The FBI and TSA were investigating.

The diverted flight landed at O'Hare this evening. Chicago lawyer Brian Salvi, who was on the flight, took it in stride, posting video to Twitter and describing it this way: "When someone has a Bridesmaid moment on your plane and you need to make an emergency landing."

In the 2011 movie "Bridesmaids," one of the female characters causes a disturbance on an airliner.
