Blackhawks Send Ryan Hartman Back To AHL Rockford

(CBS) The Blackhawks reassigned forward Ryan Hartman to AHL Rockford, they announced Thursday.

Hartman has one assist in three games for Chicago this season and played some of his best hockey in a 6-5 loss to St. Louis on Wednesday night. This move could mean winger Marian Hossa is ready to return to the lineup after missing Wednesday's contest with a lower-body injury. Hossa has been tabbed as questionable for Friday's contest at New Jersey.

Hartman, 21, has five points in eight games with Rockford this season.
