Chicago Police Still Searching For Motorbike Driver In SE Side Hit-And-Run

(CBS) -- It has been a month since a 24-year-old woman was hit by a motorbike on the sidewalk outside her place of work - and Chicago Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.

A month after a motorbike slammed into Catalina Gomez on an East 95th Street sidewalk - and she says she is still getting headaches and blurry vision.

For more than three weeks, she says, police didn't do much of anything to find the man who hit her and stopped briefly, then got back on his motorbike and took off.

This past weekend, police put out an alert with still photos from surveillance tapes.

Gomez says she's gotten some leads.

"I received two tips - but those tips weren't valid."

Now she's hoping for more tips. And she wishes the man who hit her would do the right thing.

"I would just ask him to come forward and make things right. And not just walk away from this."

Gomez says it took her a week before she was able to go back to work.

Chicago Police say there have been no investigative leads - following the police community alert.
