Where Are Air Travelers Going For Thanksgiving?
(CBS) -- Thanksgiving has always been a popular time to travel, but where are all those people actually going?
"Chicago is the number-one most popular destination over Thanksgiving weekend, followed by Orlando, Los Angeles, New York and Cancun," said Jeanenne Tornatore, senior editor for Orbitz.com.
Over at Priceline, they say people from Illinois are traveling to Florida, California, Texas and New York.

The New York Times has done its own analysis which says the most popular time to travel in the entire week leading up to turkey dinner is Thanksgiving at noon.
That makes sense to Brian Ek, travel analyst for Priceline.com.
"If you want to travel and get a good price on an airline ticket... Thanksgiving is an excellent day to travel," Ek said.
And a tip: If you paid $85 to get the TSA pre-check, understand that these days a lot of people have done that so the TSA pre-check lines are a lot longer now than they were six months ago.
