DIY Beauty Treatments Made From Thanksgiving Leftovers

(CBS) -- Leah Chavie of Leah Chavie Skincare Boutique shares some do-it-yourself beauty treatments made from Thanksgiving leftovers.

Cranberry Exfoliating Face Mask:
Rich in vitamin A, collagen and anti-aging benefits left over cranberries and sweet potato makes for the perfect deep exfoliating mask.

What to do: boil sweet potatoes without the peel and mash in bowl, add in and mix together remaining ingredients and generously apply over face, let sit for 10 minutes while gently rubbing on face, and rinse with warm water.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup boiled sweet potato,
2 tablespoons pureed cranberries,
1 tablespoon honey,
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Pumpkin Hydrating Mask, Pumpkin Hair Conditioner and/or Pumpkin Body Scrub:
Pumpkin Hydrating Mask - . Mix ¼ to ½ cup of canned pumpkin or freshly sliced into a blender and mix. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/8 cup of cranberry juice (this is for oily skin). Blend the two mixtures together, and apply to the face for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Pumpkin Hair Conditioner- Mix together 2 tablespoons of honey to a 1/2 cup of pumpkin (cut up pumpkin without the peel and blend together in a blender), apply to your hair and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse in the shower!

Pumpkin Body Scrub - Mix together 1/2 cup of pureed pumpkin, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of coconut oil and a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and apply to entire body while in the shower

Pomegranate, Cucumber and Mint Misting Spray:

In a spray bottle add distilled water, pomegranate seeds, sliced cucumbers and a few mint leaves. Mist over face

Butternut Squash Heeling Scrub for your Feet:
Mix/whisk together 1/2 large cooked (and mashed) butternut squash without the skin, 1 cups whole milk , 1/2 cup of coconut oil or vegetable oil and submerge feet into mixture, and let sit for up to 30 minutes.
