Man Shot To Death In Little Village
(STMW) -- A 37-year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
Jose L. Lopez was sitting outside with other people about 9:50 p.m. in the 2800 block of West 21st Place when a white SUV pulled up and someone inside flashed gang signs before opening fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Lopez was shot in the chest and mouth and was taken by a friend to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died less than an hour later, authorities said. He lived on the block where he was killed.
