Police: Man Stabbed To Death During Argument In East Garfield Park

(STMW) -- A man was stabbed to death during an argument with another man Sunday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The two men, ages 32 and 26, were arguing in the 3400 block of West Polk when the argument escalated into a fight about 9:20 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The older man then stabbed the younger man in the back, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the argument was domestic-related, but the exact relationship between the two men was not immediately known.

The suspect was taken into custody and charges are pending against him, police said.
