Planning Agency Working On New Regional Study For Chicago Area

(CBS) -- What will the Chicago area look like in the next decade? The regional agency responsible for coordinating dreams into reality is starting to put together a new plan, reports WBBM's Bernie Tafoya.

"If you go back and take a look at the Burnham Plan, only 10 percent ultimately got implemented and yet those were very meaningful improvements that are now like a showcase for our region," Szabo said.

One recommendation from CMAP's last 10-year plan is just getting going, a push for managed toll lanes on the Stevenson Expressway.
