Driehaus Museum Hosting Viewing Party For Downton Abbey Finale

CHICAGO (CBS) -- These are tough times for fans of "Downton Abbey," the wildly popular show which is showing its series finale Sunday night after six seasons.

Many Chicago fans of the show are gathering at the Driehaus Museum at 40 East Erie Street for a viewing party and will be wearing costumes reflective of the early 20th century era in Britain.

"We're going to do Downton trivia, and memories and just sort of have a really great send-off for the show," said Lise Dube-Scherr, executive director for the museum.

The museum has an ongoing exhibit, "Dressing Downton" which features more than 35 costumes from the popular series. The exhibition offers an immersive new perspective on the show's most memorable characters, both upstairs and down, while chronicling the great changes taking place in Britain during the tumultuous early 20th century.

Even when the show is over, the exhibition will run through May 29 due to its popularity.
