Man Seriously Wounded In River North Shooting
(CBS) -- A 24-year-old man seriously wounded in a shooting in the River North neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, Chicago Police said.
The man was shot in the abdomen in the 600 block of N. Wells and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
Police say the man was on the sidewalk when the shooter approached him on foot, fired and then fled in a gray minivan.
The victim is a convicted felon with a prior gun possession conviction and knew the gunman.
