White Sox Make 8 Minor Roster Moves

(CBS) The White Sox made a series of minor spring training roster moves Friday.

They optioned right-hander Chris Beck and outfielder Daniel Field to Triple-A Charlotte. They also reassigned right-hander Colin Kelvan, right-hander Josh Wall, right-hander Peter Tago, left-hander Will Lamb, left-hander Nik Turley and catcher Omar Narzaez to minor league camp.

Chicago's roster now sits at 55 players: 26 pitchers, 14 infielders, 10 outfielders and five catchers.

The White Sox open the season April 4 against the Athletics.
