Girl, 12, Missing From Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 12-year-old girl went missing from the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Wednesday afternoon.

Claudia Jackson was last seen about 3:30 p.m. when she left her home in the 400 block of South Laramie after she was reprimanded, police said.

Jackson was described as a black girl, standing 5-foot-2 and weighing 130 pounds, police said. She has brown eyes, black hair, a medium complexion and a cut on the right side of her face.

She was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt that had a beige-colored monkey or bear on the front, police said. She was also wearing navy blue pants and white Air Jordan gym shoes that also had purple, red, blue and orange coloring.

Anyone with information on the girl's whereabouts is asked to call police at (312) 744-8200.
