Chicago Youth Group To Perform At White House Easter Egg Roll
(CBS) -- A local youth performance group has been invited to the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday for the third time.
Artistic director Tanji Harper says she doesn't know exactly why the Happiness Club keeps getting asked back by the Obama administration. She suspects it has a lot to do with the group's message.
The club is made up of kids between the ages of 5 and 21 from Chicago and the suburbs who write songs and dance in an effort to show their peers an alternative to getting into trouble.

24 kids and a half a dozen staffers are flying out to D.C. on Easter morning and will perform twice during the egg roll.
The group says they attract kids with music and inspire them with their lyrics, showing them a positive alternative to gangs, drugs and guns.
Harper says this time they're slated to perform when the Obamas will be out on the lawn and she's hoping the kids will get to meet them.
