Cubs Fan Who Celebrated Arrieta No-Hitter On Field Calls Arrest 'Worth Every Penny'

(CBS) The Cubs fan who ran onto the field at Great American Ball Park to celebrate Jake Arrieta's no-hitter last Thursday called his arrest "worth every penny."

Dylan Cressy, 22, hopped a railing and eluded security after Arrieta recorded the final out, then made his way to the mound where the Cubs players were celebrating. Cressy was close enough to Arrieta to pat him on the head.

He had no regrets when reflecting on his arrest for criminal trepassing. He was booked at the Hamilton Country Justice Center and spent the night in jail.

"I planned my route," Cressy told the Chicago Tribune. "I accepted the fact that I was going to jail that night but I thought it would be worth it."

Cressy called his arrest "worth every penny," the Tribune reported, while his father said he was "proud." It wasn't revealed how much of a fine Cressy received.
